NYM 2021 Practical Information

Visa to Sweden
Sweden is a member of the European Union, and travel to and from Sweden is governed by EU law. Therefore, different entry requirements may apply depending on where you're travelling from, and what your nationality is.

Currency
The Currency in Swedish is Swedish Kroner (SEK). 100 SEK is equivalent to 9.70 EUR or 11.4 USD.

Student card
Bring your student card (if you have one) with you to the conference, as you might be able to enjoy some discounts, for example, regarding transportation.

Public transport and ‘Skånetrafiken’ app
Skånetrafiken is the local regional public transport company. We strongly recommend you download their app (https://www.skanetrafiken.se/om-oss/ladda-ner-appen/, translate in the upper right corner) to your phone. It will help you find your way around the region of Skåne and you can buy tickets for train, bus or tram directly in the app and get a discount on the normal price. The app also allows you to buy a ticket from Copenhagen Airport to Lund central station (Lund C) or Malmö central station (Malmö C).

Accommodation
Lodging is not included in the meeting registration fee and you will have to make your own arrangement. Accommodation in Lund will be the most convenient option. 2 places with different price range that we can suggest are: Elite Hotel Ideon (close to Kemicentrum) and Winstrup Hostel.

How to get to the NYM 2021
Most of NYM 2021 will take place in Kemicentrum, Sölvegatan 39, 223 62 Lund (http://www.kc.lu.se/english/). You have several options to get there:

From Copenhagen Airport:
- Take the train Öresundståg direction Sweden and stop at Lund C. Then follow directions mentioned below.
From Lund C:
- Take the tram and stop at Ideontorget (recommended)
- Bus 166 direction S Sandby, stop at Lund Ridhuset
From Malmö:
- Take the train (Öresundståg or Pågatåg) to Lund C, and from there take the buses mentioned above. - Take the bus 169 direction Lund C (get off at Lund Ridhuset) or 171 direction Norra Fäladen (get off at LTH and walk 5 min)

To get to MAX IV Laboratory (Fotongatan 2, 224 84 Lund), which we are planning to visit on 27th of November, you can take the tram direction ESS from Lund Ideontorget stop (if you are staying close to Kemicentrum) or from Lund C stop, if you are coming by train.
